masterpiece

You are the masterpiece of your own life; you are the Michelangelo of your experience. The David that you are sculpting is you. And you do it with your thoughts.

This thought can be scary at first, but once you realize you have control over yourself and your life, things just seem better. They can change, they can improve; they can go back to being awesome, but now you can do it consciously.

P.S. I know it's not Michelangelo's David, it's Bernini's. I kinda like this one better.... besides, I didn't get to see Michelangelo's but I took this picture myself ^_^

i wish i could tell you...

... that I've fought the good fight and fended off temptation.
I wish I could tell you that.

But life's no fairy tale and I signed into facebook. I didn't realize how difficult this would be.

celos

The quality in that video isn't great, but I like seeing them live - I love the white suits. Here's a vid with much better audio quality, and a neat site with (roughly) translated lyrics.

The song is so hauntingly beautiful... Speaking with Leandro about poetry and such he brought up an interesting point: The most beautiful poetry is poetry about loss and heartbreak.

Maybe when we are at our lowest, most vulnerable point we let down our defenses and let out our true feelings. Maybe when reading someone else's work, we find beauty in feeling or knowing that someone else is feeling like we did or do, or solace in knowing we're not all alone.

Still, I like to think that there's plenty of beautiful poetry about love, and other emotions, that isn't sad. Maybe we don't notice its beauty so much when we're already happy about something - or someone.

Just a thought.

pump it up

I found this video while innocently looking for vids to show a friend the game pump it up, the Korean equivalent of DDR.

This "workout" video has roughly the same cast as the people from the original call on me music video by Eric Prydz. I'm using the term workout very loosely here, because I'm sure most of the people buying this video will not be following along for the aerobic workout... at least not in the intended way...
But if aerobics classes were attended by people like those in the vid, I'd actually be tempted to go.

Every day.

All the time.

status

David should remember to make his sangria less strong.

Or remember to drink it slower when he hasn't had anything to eat in the previous 6 hours.

I don't usually post, speak, or think in the 3rd person, but I've become used to it because of facebook's status messages... I have to do something about these withdrawal symptoms.

the tubes

We often call the same thing by different names (pronunciations):
Potatoe/ Potato,
Tomatoe / Tomato,
Internets / Tubes / Interwebs

I've gotten looks of puzzlement from people whenever I refer to the internet as "the tubes." So making an entry seemed like a good way of edumacating™ people. Keeping my audience in mind I figured, why have people read about the tubes, when a techno remix is just as effective?

I guess sometimes I forget that most people don't keep up with randomly amusing things that happen in congress - particularly when it came to Ted Stevens. While I'll miss his antics, I think I can live without them if it means he's out of congress (and in jail):

Lover (in red)

If it was possible, I think I would fall in love with these shoes.

Took a nap (thanks for the wake up call Chris!) and I actually feel good and productive at this hour. Lots of work to do... so I'll probably be posting a bit more today, haha.

I'll justify them as constructive breaks, or something to that effect.

Photo-Shop

Hadn't watched SNL in a while, but if they keep putting out stuff like this they'll have me back. I believe in 2nd chances. And big butts :P

As you can probably tell, I recently re-discovered hulu and I have to say their selection's pretty good... perhaps I should curb my tv watching online.
And offline.

I've been trying to figure it out, but I have no idea how or why it got there.

But I'm entertained.

I'm beginning to think Chris is may be right. I might have too much time... or I'm just easily distracted, but there's nothing new about my short attention span.

15. Doing the deed with you, then crying afterward because his ex-girlfriend Mandy broke up with him last Valentine's Day.

If so, I've been giving people (fellow men) a lot more credit than they deserved.
Makes me feel like one of those banks, you know?
The ones making bad loans.
